Lyon College women's basketball player Ali Tucker has been chosen as this week's Scot of the Week in the Scot Spotlight, after helping the ninth-ranked Scots to two big conference wins on Thursday and Saturday.
The Scots defeated Missouri Baptist 100-73 on Feb. 2, before defeating St. Louis College of Pharmacy 98-30 on Feb. 4. Tucker totaled 34 total points, and hit 8-of-14 shots from three-point range between the two games. Against the Spartans, Tucker posted 20 points - three points shy of her career high and was 7-for-10 from the field. She then scored 14 points against the Eutectics on Saturday going 5-for-9 from the floor.
So far this season, Tucker is averaging 8.7 points per game and is ranked fifth in the nation with a 45.4 three-point field goal percentage. She has also made 49 total three-point field goals to rank 34th in the NAIA.
The Scots next game is tonight against Harris-Stowe in St. Louis Mo. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Lyon then returns to James C. Becknell Gymnasium on Thursday for a matchup with Central Baptist College, also tipping off at 5:30 p.m.
