The Scots posted the best record in history, and also recorded the most wins, finishing the year 13-2-2.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Lyon finished its first year in the American Midwest Conference in third place, finishing just 0.5-games out of first place with a 6-1-1 league record. For the first time in the program&amp;#39;s history the team also was ranked in the NAIA Men&amp;#39;s Soccer Top 25 Coaches&amp;#39; Poll.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

Student athletes must be in their second term of attendance at their institution and have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 as defined by the nominating institution at the time of nomination.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Columbia College had the most athletes named to the prestigious squad, with 15 players named, followed by William Woods University and Missouri Baptist University tied with 14 apiece. For the College as a whole, 72 students were honored for their hard work in the spring semester.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;To be on the Dean&amp;#39;s List, a student must maintain a 3.75 grade point average or higher while taking a minimum of 12 hours a semester.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Earning the elite status from 2012-13 Lyon squads includes three from women&amp;#39;s soccer, two from volleyball, and one each from men&amp;#39;s soccer, women&amp;#39;s golf and baseball.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <description>&lt;p&gt;BATESVILLE, Ark. &amp;ndash; A proven winner, a multi-sport athlete in college and self-proclaimed teacher of the game, Travis Owen becomes the fifth head coach of the Lyon College softball program after being named to the position on Monday by Lyon Director of Athletics Kevin Jenkins.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Owen, 28, comes to Lyon College from Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota, where he has served for the past two seasons as the NCAA Division 2 squad&amp;#39;s assistant softball coach.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;He received his Bachelor&amp;#39;s of Science degree in Business/Marketing at St. Louis University in 2007, earning Magna Cum Laude Honors with a 3.5 grade point average. He went on to receive his Master&amp;#39;s degree at Northern State in 2011 with a 4.0 GPA, while participating as an athlete and then serving as a graduate assistant coach for strength and conditioning at the University.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
