POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- The Lyon College Scots notched a first-day split in two volleyball matches at the College of the Ozarks tournament.

Lyon (2-3) lost the first match 3-0 (18-25, 9-25 and 23-25) to the host team and swept Harris-Stowe State 3-0 (25-9, 25-13, 25-21) in the second match. The Scots play a doubleheader again on Saturday with a match each against Central Methodist and John Brown.

The Lyon loss saw Chelsea Hinton led the squad with four kills.

In the win, Lyon had 12 total aces and were led by Meghann LaBorn, Jennifer Jones and Audrey Myers, who each had six kills. LaBorn added a team-high four blocks and three aces. Myers pitched in three aces and eight digs.
