ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Lyon College swept American Midwest Conference Women's Soccer weekly awards in its first week as a conference member, as Hannah Osmon (above), a freshman from Mountain Home, Ark., was named AMC Offensive Player of the Week, and Lea Pascal (right), a senior from Aarhus, Denmark, was the AMC's defensive honoree.

Lyon dropped its 2012 opener to No. 7 Martin Methodist (Tenn.), 5-1, last Wednesday.
Osmon was Lyon's leader on the attack, taking two shots and putting one on goal, a second-half score that put the Scots on the board with six minutes to play, and Pascal helped the Scots limit one of the NAIA's best offenses to just one goal in the first half.
Lyon returns resumes its season Labor Day weekend, taking on Oklahoma Wesleyan University on Friday at 1 p.m., and Sunday, the Scots play NCAA Division I Arkansas-Pine Bluff at 5 p.m. Both matches will be played in North Little Rock at Burns Park.
