BATESVILLE, Ark. - Lyon College concluded its summer of camps this past week with boys and girls basketball camps taking place on the campus.
There was a lot of competition in James C. Becknell Gymnasium as nine varsity and four junior varsity teams participated 38 contests in the 2012 White River Shoot-Out.
"It was a chance for these high school players to get some time on the court against good competition so they can improved their games before the upcoming season," said Lyon College Director of Athletics and head basketball coach
Kevin Jenkins.

Earlier in the week, 58 girls campers from elementary to high school ages participated in an array of individual and team competitions from Sunday through Wednesday in an effort to sharpen their skills when they head back to school this fall.
There were 23 high school female girl players, 19 junior high-age competitors and 16 elementary school-aged girls at the camp.
