Head Coach Ray Green signs Emily Penrose a 5'9 outiste hitter from La Habra, California. Penrose attended Whittier Christian High School. She totaled 48 kills, 23 digs, and 18 blocks her senior year. Penrose's high school was a finalist in the CIF Division - 2A in 2011-2012. Penrose also received the Coaches Award in 2010 from her high school.

Head Coach Ray Green stated "I am excited to have Emily joining our squad this fall. As I have mentioned before, versatility is going to be an asset to our team this season. Emily brings a great attack to our offense as an outside hitter and middle. She has been trained well while playing for Protege Volleyball Club. They have been competing successfullyat national qualifiers throughout the country. I look for Emily to bring that type of competition into our gym and make an immediate, positive impact on the program. We're going to be fun to watch!"
