The Scots add JaeLynn Ellison a native of Forsyth, Missouri to the 2012-2013 softball season. Ellison is the daughter of Jeff and Karen Ellison. She graduated from Hollister High School in 2010. Ellison comes to Lyon from Labette Community College. While at Labette her freshman year, Ellison's team was KJCCC Conference Champions, Region VI District D Champions, made their first trip to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament, had their best National ranking at 5^th, has been in the top 20 National poll for the last two years, and had a record of 17-5. As a sophomore Ellison made 22 appearances, 122.1 innings pitched, had a record of 12-3 with 2 saves, 46 strikeouts and an ERA of 1.71. Ellison also made Honorable Mention All-Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference and Region VI District D Runner-Up.
