Alex Kieffer of Pocahontas, Arkansas signs with Lyon to play men's basketball for the 2012-2013 season. Kieffer averaged 12.9 point and 5 rebounds per game, shot 57% from the field, and 37% from the 3 point line. Kieffer was a 4A All-conference player his senior year. He was also named All-Tournament at the Williams Baptist College Tournament.

Head coach Kevin Jenkins stated: "We are excited to have a former student athlete's son on the team. He will be a good addition and a great fit for Lyon. He will make an impact in the power forward for us."
