McKenzie, TN. - 4/19/2012- The Lyon College softball team took on the Wildcats of Bethel University and were defeated 11-5, 5-4.
In game one the Scots were led by Erica Whitaker 1-2 with 1 homerun and 2 RBI's, Sarah Knudsen going 2-4 with 2 doubles and 1 RBI, and Miranda Jones going 1-2.
In game two of the double header, the Scots were led by Erica Whitaker going 3-3 with 1 triple, Kaitlyn Patterson going 3-4 with 1 RBI and 2 runs, and Chelsea Conrade going 1-3 with 1 run. Pitchers Tara Mitchell added 4 strikeouts to the mix.
The Scots are now 12-31-1 overall 5-23 in Conference.
The Scots return to action on April 21st at home against Trevecca Nazarene at 12:00pm. Go Scots!!
