The Lyon College Women's Basketball team can now add to their accomplishments this year with two players earning 2012 NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Honorable Mention All-Americans.

Senior forward Lauren Ramsey from Little Rock, Arkansas and Junior Guard Phagen Altom from Bald Knob, Arkansas have been awarded this honor for their hard work and dedication for the 2011-2012 season. They helped bring their team to their first appearance in the NAIA Women's Basketball DI National Tournament this year as well as their first 20th win season (20-12 overall) since the 1991-1992 season. Altom and Ramsey now join the previous Honorable Mention All -American's: Olivia Malland, 1995, Stephanie Rowton, 1998, Sarah Meier, 2000 & 2001 and previous teammate K.K. Hodges, 2009 & 2011.

In Ramsey's senior year alone she totaled 432 points while shooting 48% from the field, a solid 85% from the free throw line, 183 rebounds, 29 blocks, and 30 steals. Ramsey has been awarded 1st Team All-Conference in the TranSouth in 2012 as well as a TranSouth Scholar Athlete for 3 years in 2010, 2011, and 2012.

In Altom's junior year alone she totaled 419 points while shooting 41% from the field, 78% from the free throw line, 129 rebounds, 83 assists, and 30 steals. Phagen was awarded 1st Team All-Conference in the TranSouth in 2012 as well as a TranSouth Scholar Athlete in 2011.
