Head coach Ben Parman signs defender Victoria King of Rowlett, Texas for the 2012 season. King comes to Lyon from Palestine High School. As a Freshman, King made first team all-district, and all-east Texas team. King's team made history with farthest run in playoffs and most wins in history, as well as becoming area champions. As a Sophomore at Rockwall High School her team made history advancing past Highland Park in penalty's to make it to the Sweet 16, but was defeated by the soon to be State Champions. As a Junior, King's team were in the Elite 8 in Texas. King was awarded Academic All-District and Second Team All-District; her team became district champions for first time ever beating Highland Park but lost to state champions in sudden death shoot out. As a Senior, Victoria was selected team captain, and is looking to continue the success and make a strong push at the state tournament.

King plans to major in Biology while at Lyon. Coach Parman stated "I am very excited to have Vicky join our program and Lyon College next year. She is going to bring lots of experience and energy into our young 2012 squad from her successful high school and club teams. I will be looking for Vicky to make an immediate impact in our defense."
