Batesville, AR. - 1/26/2012- The Lyon College Men's Basketball team faced Freed-Hardeman University this evening and were defeated by the Lions 68-87. The Scots struggled in the first half with a turnover ratio of15-8 while the Lions led 44-25 going into halftime. The Scots battled back in the second half but could not tame the Lions.

The Scots were led in scoring this evening by Freshman Rickey Thomas with 12 points shooting 50% from the field and 100% from the free throw line (2-2), Sophomore CJ Blount chipped in an additional 12 points, and Sophomore Daniel Ritchie added 9 points to the mix while going 3-4 from the field.

The Scots finished the game with 42 % from the field and 63 % from the free throw line. While the Lions went 44% from the field and 83% from the free throw line. Freed-Hardeman was led this evening by starting guard Verkeneo Mann lighting up the court with 20 points and 5 rebounds.

The Scots are now 6-13 overall and 0-7 in Conference.

The Scots are back in TranSouth Conferenece action this Saturday January 28^th as they travel to Mississippi to take on the Blue Mountain Toppers. Tip-off is scheduled for 4pm. Go Scots!
