Batesville,AR. - 1/14/2012- The Lyon College Men's Basketball team faced the Martin Methodist College RedHawks this afternoon and were defeated 78-58. Martin Methodist are currently ranked No. 8.
The Scots were led in scoring tonight by Freshman guard Devonte Young knocking down 21 points and Sophomore CJ Blount adding 14.
The Scots finished the game with 29 % from the field and 62 % from the free throw line. While the RedHawks went 48% from the field and 60% from the free throw line. The Scots are now 6-10 overall and 0-4 in Conference.
Assistant coach Matt Creamer stated after the loss "We are a young team continuing to learn. We need to continue to develop our game and we are looking forward to the second half of the season".
The Scots are back in action at home this Thursday, January 19th. Tip off will begin at 8pm against Trevecca Nazarene University. Come out and support your Scots as they take on the Trojans!
