
BATESVILLE, Ark. - 11/29/2011 - The Lyon College men's basketball team upset Columbia College (Ranked No. 14 in the NAIA) 78-64 on Tuesday night. Lyon improves to 4-3 on the season, while Columbia drops to 6-3 on the season.
Lyon had five players with double digit scoring. Daniel Ritchie led the Scots with 15 points and 2 rebounds. Slater Belew added 13 points and 3 rebounds, and Brandon Cowart contributed 12 points and 2 rebounds. Marcus Williams posted 11 points, and Devonte Young added 10 points.
Lyon shot 56.5% from the field, 70% from behind the arc, and 73% from the free throw line. Columbia shot 38% from the field, 33% from behind the arc, and 58% from the free throw line.
Up next Lyon will travel to Little Rock, Arkansas to take on Philander Smith College on Friday, December 2, 2011 at 7:30 p.m.
